Ribbon Cutting Moment at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Event
A newly built hotel is set to open in North Las Vegas.
Nigro Construction held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday for a Fairfield-branded property on Lamb Boulevard at Interstate 15, in the northeast valley.
The four-story, 117-room hotel — Fairfield by Marriott Inn &Suites Las Vegas North — is scheduled to open on Oct. 30.
Nigro Development was the developer of the $19 million project at 5575 N. Lamb Blvd., and the owners’ construction business built it, said Cory Frank, vice president of business development and project management with Nigro Construction.
The Nigro family leads the Las Vegas-based businesses.
Their new hotel is near Nellis Air Force Base and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, as well as several warehouses and distribution centers, letting the site cater to travelers in town for work at those locations or races or other events at the Speedway.
Frank also said that when big conventions come to Las Vegas, attendees often spread out around the valley.
