Nigro Construction team members highlight evolving career opportunities in Southern Nevada
Las Vegas, NV – As Southern Nevada continues to grow, so does the workforce building it. In celebration of Women in Construction Week and this year’s theme, “Level Up. Build Strong,” Nigro Construction is recognizing the growing role women are playing across the construction industry and the many career opportunities emerging within the field.
While women remain underrepresented in construction, the profession continues to evolve, creating new pathways for individuals from a wide range of professional backgrounds to enter the industry. As a commercial construction company serving Southern Nevada for more than 40 years, Nigro Construction is proud to support that progress by creating opportunities for mentorship, career development and industry awareness for the next generation of construction professionals.
The Power of Mentorship
One way Nigro Construction supported Women in Construction Week was by participating in the Hammers & Hope event hosted by the Nevada State Contractors Board on Friday, March 6. Three of Nigro’s women team members served as mentors to more than 200 high school students and young women exploring careers in construction.
“Events like Hammers & Hope give students the chance to see firsthand the variety of opportunities that exist in this industry,” said Kayla Danielson, project manager at Nigro Construction. “Connecting with professionals who can share their experiences helps young people better understand what a career in construction can look like.”
